Honoring your truth

Merciless Truth
Truth is the relentless saviour of the world
It’s the shortcut to freedom for those who dare to follow
It waits patiently for your readiness
But it won’t give in one bit
Or make a single compromise
As it guides you back home
That’s how much it loves you

While innocence works as a way to bring out the truth, honoring truth creates a space where constructive change becomes possible. Firstly, honoring truth means we admit something is not in alignment with how we’d truly like it to be, or that it is in a state that is not of our best interest. Honoring truth also means that we acknowledge our own responsibility for the current situation and that by changing our behaviour and our inner world we can influence how things turn out in our lives.
Honoring truth also means that certain things are well and reflect our deepest truth. This creates a deep sense of peace and frees us to work on stuff that’s not so ok or that require our primary focus.
We can also admit that we don’t always know what we want. This makes real, innocent introspection possible and lessens our propensity to act for the sake of acting.
It is also important to admit that there are things, people, and situations in our life that we don’t like. It is important to let go even if we didn’t know if something better will replace those things (or if they need to be replaced at all). Regardless, your life will look more like you because of that.
